# Ranch.Bot > Ranch.Bot is livestock recordkeeping by text for beef, bison, goat, lamb, and other operations. A > customer completes a short web setup, enables Text-in, texts a field note from the registered > phone, and reviews the proposed structured record in the web dashboard before it saves. Product facts: local MCP availability checked 2026-10-20; CLI availability checked 2026-10-20; other facts verified 2026-08-30. - Text-in production activation was verified 2026-08-16. It requires cellular SMS service and an opted-in registered phone. It is not offline capture. - Plain-language notes can become health, movement, feed, genetic or breeding, and other records for animals, identifiers, and groups. - In the Ranch.Bot app and SMS workflow, writes pause for review before they run. - Texted photos are stored for the account, but are not currently shown in the conversation or extracted into structured records. - Existing files use supervised import: automated extraction produces a proposal, then a person reviews the source, sensitive-data anomalies, counts, samples, and ambiguities before approving writes. - Tools exports a farm ZIP archive. Current field boundaries are documented at https://ranch.bot/docs/data-export. - Solo and Team use flat per-person subscriptions with a 30-day free trial. A card is required and nothing is charged until day 31. Current amounts are at https://ranch.bot/pricing. - Public CLI 1.2.3 is available with Node.js 22+: `npm install -g @ranchbot/cli@1.2.3`. Browser OAuth login needs no API key. Select a farm and use `--json` for agent reads. CLI writes run directly under server permissions without the app confirmation screen or its Action-backed Change History. See the CLI guide and public skill before operating. - The local stdio MCP package @ranchbot/mcp-server 0.2.0 is published as bot.ranch/mcp-server in the MCP Registry. Hosted connections are not public yet. ChatGPT access is a private pilot. Ranch.Bot’s Claude connector is in review; you can still connect it privately as a custom connector. Gemini has no publicly available Ranch.Bot connection. Shell use does not certify an individual client. ## Authoritative public guides - [Product overview](https://ranch.bot/) - [Plans and current pricing](https://ranch.bot/pricing) - [SMS-first getting started](https://ranch.bot/docs/getting-started) - [Conversations and review](https://ranch.bot/docs/threads) - [Find animal or group history](https://ranch.bot/docs/find-history) - [Correct a saved record](https://ranch.bot/docs/corrections) - [Invite someone to the farm](https://ranch.bot/docs/team) - [Manage or cancel the subscription](https://ranch.bot/docs/billing) - [Supervised data import](https://ranch.bot/docs/data-import) - [Farm archive export](https://ranch.bot/docs/data-export) - [External-assistant integration status](https://ranch.bot/connect-your-ai) - [CLI setup](https://ranch.bot/docs/cli-setup) - [Public agent skill](https://ranch.bot/.well-known/agent-skills/ranch-bot.md) - [Local MCP setup](https://ranch.bot/docs/mcp-setup) - [Support](https://ranch.bot/support) - [Articles](https://ranch.bot/articles) - [Lambing percentage calculator](https://ranch.bot/articles/lambing-percentage) - [Sheep gestation calculator](https://ranch.bot/tools/lambing-window-calculator) ## Policies - [Privacy](https://ranch.bot/privacy) - [Terms](https://ranch.bot/terms) ## Developer reference - [Developer overview](https://ranch.bot/developers): Existing HTTP integration capabilities and the farm data model. - [Authentication and access](https://ranch.bot/developers/authentication): Directed access, deprecated legacy keys, OAuth prerequisites, scopes and roles. - [Integration walkthroughs](https://ranch.bot/developers/guides): cURL and JavaScript examples using made-up data. - [OpenAPI 3.1 contract](https://ranch.bot/openapi.json): Machine-readable HTTP reference.
