Farm Memory

Farm Memory holds standing context the in-app assistant can use, such as the farm's terminology, units, seasons, and preferences. It is separate from animal and event records.

What belongs in memory

Useful memory is durable context that would otherwise need repeating:

• what a local group or place name means;
• preferred units;
• a recurring season or workflow; and
• a correction to an assumption the assistant made.

A treatment, movement, birth, or feeding event belongs in Records instead. A passing detail should not become standing context.

How memory is added

Tell the in-app assistant to remember a durable farm fact. When a memory is saved, the conversation shows a visible Remembered chip. Open it to review the value.

Ranch.Bot may also propose durable context noticed in a conversation. Memory remains visible in the app rather than accumulating as a hidden profile.

Review, edit, and delete

Open Farm Memory from the farm navigation or Settings. Each current fact shows its source and history.

• Edit creates a new current value and keeps the previous value in history.
• Delete removes the memory and its history from the Farm Memory surface.
• Deleting memory does not change animals, groups, or records.

Only the current value shapes later in-app answers.

Current boundaries

• Farm Memory is scoped to one farm and visible to members with farm access.
• It is not included in the current JSON or CSV export.
• Public external-assistant installation is unavailable. Do not create an API key expecting it to provide Farm Memory access.
• Farm Memory should not hold veterinary diagnoses, financial conclusions, or facts about another operation.
