Records

A record is a dated event tied to animals, groups, or both. Ranch.Bot keeps five broad record types:

• Health - observations, births, vaccinations, and treatments you report;
• Movement - pasture changes, purchases, sales, deaths, and transfers;
• Genetic - breeding, parentage, and association information you enter;
• Feed - feed events and ration changes; and
• Other - farm notes that do not fit the other types.

Ranch.Bot is a recordkeeping tool. It does not diagnose animals or recommend veterinary, financial, breeding, or culling actions.

Create a record by text

1. Complete Text-in setup.
2. Text what happened from the registered phone.
3. Ranch.Bot prepares a structured proposal.
4. Open the web dashboard and check the animal or group, date, type, and details.
5. Confirm, correct, or reject the proposal.

Nothing in that flow saves merely because the note was sent.

Create a record in the web app

You can also:

• send a note from Quick Entry or a Conversation and review the proposal; or
• open Records → New Record and enter the structured record directly.

Use the event date for when the work happened, not merely when it was entered.

Review records

The Records page filters by Health, Movement, Genetic, Feed, Other, or All. Open a record to see its name, description, event date, structured items, timestamps, and recent changes.

Animal and group detail pages also show their linked records.

Correct a record

Describe the correction in a Conversation and confirm the proposed update. Where a recent Change History action offers Undo, you can reverse that action and enter the corrected record.

Check corrections against the original source. Ranch.Bot should not fill in a date, dose, animal, or outcome that was not provided.

Group records

A group record applies to the animals selected when the record is made. Later membership changes do not alter the historical event.
