Chute Mode exists in the Ranch.Bot codebase but is disabled for standard customer accounts. It is not part of the current SMS-first product and should not be used as a production workflow today.

What the preview is designed to do

The preview is a repetitive-run capture screen for one group of animals. Its code supports session setup, animal identification, optional weights, configurable widgets, duplicate-scan warnings, and later sync.

Those capabilities are not a public availability claim. The production flag stays off until the workflow is verified for customer use.

Current supported alternatives

• Text a chute-side note through Text-in, then review the proposal in the web dashboard.
• Use Quick Entry or a Conversation when the dashboard is open.
• Create a structured record manually under Records when the fields are already known.
• Use a keyboard-mode tag reader only as ordinary keyboard input after testing it with your own device and tags.

Ranch.Bot does not certify or recommend a reader brand or model.
