Ranch.Bot Livestock Records is built by Jerremy Lewis in Alberta. As of August 2026, the working family sheep operation raises approximately 200 ewes.
The product has one practical job: turn a field note into a record the producer can review and find later.
The problem behind the product
Spreadsheets were easy to keep. Making the records useful when a question came up was the hard part. The facts existed, but finding the right ewe, date, treatment, or movement still took desk time and memory.
Ranch.Bot was built around that gap between doing the work and keeping a record that can still answer a question next season. The medium should fit a tired producer, rather than ask the producer to become better at feeding a spreadsheet.
What the working operation changes
Farm use sets the product boundaries. The record has to fit chores without giving up human control. It also has to stay useful after the busy day is over.
- Capture during the work
- After a short web setup and Text-in opt-in, the registered phone can send a plain-language livestock note from the field. The note does not need to wait for desk time.
- Review before saving
- Ranch.Bot proposes a structured record in the web dashboard. The producer reviews, corrects, confirms, or cancels it before the write runs.
- Fit the operation
- Every operation runs differently. Ranch.Bot stays focused on flexible livestock records instead of forcing one farm template onto everyone.
A narrow mission
Make livestock records fast enough to keep and useful when they are needed. Ranch.Bot focuses on practical cattle and sheep records first, not a dashboard that claims to run every part of the operation.
Records support the producer's calls. Ranch.Bot does not make veterinary, breeding, culling, or financial decisions. It helps preserve the history behind those decisions.
